How to Obtain Trident
Tridents are powerful weapons that can be used in melee combat or thrown at enemies.
How to obtain:
- Dropped by drowned (underwater zombies) with a low chance
- Higher drop rate if the drowned is holding a trident
- Cannot be crafted
- Can be repaired in an anvil with another trident
Tip: Combine multiple methods—looting structures, trading with villagers, or farming mobs—to gather trident more reliably.
Uses for Trident
- Melee combat (especially underwater)
- Ranged attacks by throwing
- Lightning strikes with Channeling enchantment
- Player transportation with Riptide enchantment
Fun Fact
With the Riptide enchantment, a trident can launch the player through the air when used in water or rain, making it one of the most unique movement tools in the game.
