You spawn near a village holding three blacksmiths, with a ruined portal generating right inside the village — an instant Nether route without hunting one down. A pillager outpost and a desert temple sit close by for extra early loot.
The area is scenic too, with a nearby cherry grove and almost every major biome within about 3,000 blocks: taiga, savanna, plains, desert, pale garden, snowy mountains, swamp, jungle, and even a rare mushroom island. The nearest trial chamber provides heavy cores so you can craft a Mace early.
