About Minecraft Crafting
Crafting is a fundamental mechanic in Minecraft that allows players to create new items by arranging materials in specific patterns on a crafting grid. The standard crafting grid is 3x3 and is accessed through a crafting table, while a smaller 2x2 grid is available in the player's inventory.
To craft an item, you need to place the required materials in the correct pattern on the grid. Some recipes are shapeless, meaning the ingredients can be placed anywhere on the grid, while others require a specific arrangement.
Non-Craftable Items
Some valuable items in Minecraft cannot be crafted and must be found through exploration, combat, or other means. These items often provide unique abilities or serve special purposes that make them worth seeking out.
Our guide includes information on how to obtain these non-craftable items, their uses, and interesting facts about them. From saddles and name tags to elytra and nether stars, we cover everything you need to know about these special items.
Armor Trims
Complete guide to all armor trims in Minecraft and where to find them. Learn how to customize your armor with unique patterns and colors using smithing templates.
What are Armor Trims?
Armor trims are special items that allow you to customize the appearance of your armor without affecting its stats or protection values. Each trim has a unique pattern and can be applied to any type of armor (leather, iron, gold, diamond, netherite, or chain) using a Smithing Table.
To apply a trim, you'll need:
- The armor trim smithing template
- The armor piece you want to modify
- A material ingredient (like diamond, gold, copper, etc.) that will determine the color of the trim
Combine these items in a Smithing Table to apply the trim to your armor. Different material ingredients will result in different colored trims!
