Dappled Forest Crater Village (Minecraft 26.3)

A village fills a mountain crater planted with Dappled Forest and cherry trees, while an Ancient City waits directly beneath it.

The crater creates a protected bowl with a village in the center and mixed Dappled Forest and cherry color around the slopes. That alone makes it a strong settlement seed, but the underground Ancient City gives the same location a clear late-game objective. You can progress from village trading above ground to Deep Dark exploration without relocating your main base.

Do not dig straight down from the village. Establish gear, wool, food, and a marked descent route before approaching the Ancient City. For building, the crater rim works well for walls and towers while the central village remains visible from every side.
