What this tool does
Armor trims are one of the best cosmetic upgrades in modern Minecraft — but testing every smithing template and material in-game is slow. This designer lets you mix any armor piece with any trim pattern and material, preview the result instantly, and export a /give command so you can drop the finished look straight into creative or a command block.

- Worn pattern sheet — inventory icons don’t show unique pattern shapes; the sheet below the preview shows the full trim design (coast, sentry, silence, bolt, flow, and the rest) so you can tell templates apart before you craft.
- All armor tiers — leather, chainmail, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite across helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots.
- Leather dye palette — when you pick leather, choose any of the 16 vanilla dye colors. The preview tints the armor and the command includes
dyed_color. - One-click /give export — builds a modern Java item-component command with
trimand optional dye. Paste it into a command block if it’s longer than chat allows. - Trim on or off — design dyed leather alone, trimmed metal armor alone, or both together (leather + trim + dye).
How to use
- Click a piece on the right to select it — material, trim, and dye edit that piece only.
- Choose armor material (diamond, netherite, leather, …) for the selected piece.
- For leather, pick a dye color from the palette.
- Select a trim template and trim material, or remove the trim.
- Optionally use “Apply … to full set” to sync material or trim across all four pieces.
- Copy the full set (four /give lines, each with its own settings) or just the selected piece into a command block.
Tips for great-looking sets
Mix and match freely — diamond helmet with netherite chest, different patterns per piece — or keep a matching set with shared trim (tide + lapis on all diamond, rib + netherite on all netherite). High-contrast combos (dark armor + bright trim, or pale armor + dark trim) read clearly in screenshots and on servers. For leather drip, pair a bold dye with a quieter trim material so the color still stands out.
