Minecraft Village Finder — Java Seed Map
Paste a Java Edition seed to preview biomes and plot villages. Structure scan starts on, village markers are labeled on the map, and you can copy a /tp command for any point. Use this to find the closest village to spawn, hunt desert or snowy villages, or plan an iron farm before you create the world.
Need every structure (strongholds, trial chambers, mansions)? Use the full Java seed map. Playing Bedrock (PE / console / Windows)? Use the Bedrock seed map and turn on the Villages layer.
How to find a village
- Enter your Java seed (numbers or text) and pick your version.
- The map loads biomes, then scans the area on screen for villages.
- Pan and zoom — each village dot is labeled. Click Spawn to jump to world spawn.
- Copy a /tp command or Share link to save the seed, version, and map position.
- Toggle other structure chips if you also want temples, outposts, or monuments.
What this village finder shows
This page is a Java Edition village finder on the same biome viewer as the full seed map. It starts with Find structures on and only the Villages and Spawn layers enabled, so you are not waiting on strongholds or trial chambers while you hunt a starting village.
Village type follows the biome around the marker: plains and meadows give the classic oak village, deserts give sandstone, savannas give acacia, taigas give spruce, and snowy biomes give the packed-ice look. An abandoned village is still a village structure — it just generates with zombie villagers and cobwebs. The map marks the structure location; walk the biome to see the style in-game.
The scan covers the area on screen, not the entire overworld. Pan to load more markers. Java and Bedrock use different worldgen, so the same seed will not place villages in the same spots — use the Bedrock seed map if you play PE, console, or Windows Bedrock.

Village types on the map
- Plains & meadow
The default oak village — best for a first iron farm and librarian hall near spawn.
- Desert
Sandstone villages on desert biome. Good early gold and easy sightlines; still a village structure.
- Savanna
Acacia villages. Often sit on plateaus — check the marker, then the biome color around it.
- Taiga & snowy
Spruce or snowy villages. Snowy villages are a common Mending-lectern hunt because they are easy to spot.
